Grindelwald sits at the end of a valley in the Bernese Oberland and is easy to reach by train. We collect you from the station; you do not need a car.

By train

Trains run at least hourly. At Interlaken Ost you change to the Bernese Oberland Railway to Grindelwald.

    From Bern-Belp airport, bus and S-Bahn take about 30 minutes to Bern station.

  • Basel SBB

    From EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse, bus 50 takes about 20 minutes to Basel SBB station.

The last stretch from Interlaken Ost takes about 35 minutes. The train splits at Zweilütschinen: check the display and sit in the Grindelwald part.

By car

Take the A1 to Bern, then the A6 to Thun and the A8 to Interlaken. From the Wilderswil exit, follow the signs to Grindelwald, about 20 kilometres up the valley.

    Included

    Four guest spaces at no extra cost. Please tell us when you enquire that you are driving, so we can keep one for you.

  • Car park in the village

    Not included

    approx. CHF 20–25 per day

    If the chalet's spaces are taken, park at the multi-storey car park by Grindelwald Terminal station. We collect you there, as we do guests arriving by train.

Transfers

Travel to Grindelwald is not included in the price; the pick-up at the station is.

  • Pick-up at Grindelwald station

    Included

    We collect you from the station on arrival day and take you back on departure day. Just tell us which train you are on.

  • Taxi from Interlaken Ost

    Not included

    approx. CHF 70–90 per car, one way

    If you arrive late or miss the last connection. About 25 minutes to the chalet.

  • Private transfer from Zurich Airport

    Not included

    approx. CHF 450–600 per car, one way

    From the terminal to the chalet door, about 2 h 30 min, up to four people with luggage. We are happy to put you in touch with a driver; you book and pay them directly.
